Mt. Juliet woman dies in single-car accident

A 23-year-old Mt. Juliet woman died early yesterday after apparently falling asleep while driving west on State Route 840 in Wilson County, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Amy Biddle was found dead at the scene of the single-car accident, which occurred about 5:10 a.m. at mile marker 74 on State Route 840, THP spokeswoman Melissa McDonald said.

Biddle was not wearing a seat belt when she apparently fell asleep behind the wheel, veering off the roadway, McDonald said. The car flipped three times before landing in the median.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the deadly crash, THP reports.
